In close collaboration with Ember Labs, we helped develop the visual world of Dearly–an AI-powered grief companion for navigating loss, remembering loved ones, and finding support.
In a sea of wellness apps, it seems not a lot of deals with the inevitable, permanent loss of someone we love. We leaned into this gap by building an app that is easy to use, sentimental, and focuses on remembering–rather than moving on.

We imagined the Dearly world like a surrealist garden with no exit: think butterflies, flowers, swaying grass. One where someone can get lost in and run in a smooth, blissful pace. We used a hyper-specific creative direction where users (and the people they lost) can have a space to remember.
